A First Annual Bookstore Writing Competition
A Fifty Dollar Gift Certificate will be awarded in each of three categories:
Poetry, Short Stories, Essays
Guidelines:
- All items submitted must relate to the theme of reading, antiquarian bookstores,
book collecting, or the influence of books and reading.
- Entries will be accepted in the following areas: poetry, short stories, essays.
- All entries must be limited to 1500 words or less, submitted in hard copy
(double spaced) to:

- Postmark Deadline is December 31, 2003.
- Include SASE for contest results. No manuscripts will be returned. The winners
will be announced and published on our website, www.84cc.com by January 31, 2004.
All entries will become the property of 84 Charing Cross, Inc., and may be published
at a later date with appropriate credits given.
- A public reading of the top 3 winning entries will be held in the early spring. Winning
authors will be invited to read their entries.
